Shipping Carriers
Berkshire Mountain Bakery currently uses UPS and FedEx for shipped online orders.
The shipping services available to you depend on your delivery address. Not every UPS or FedEx service will be available for every destination.
Available options and shipping rates are displayed during checkout.
Tuesday Shipping Schedule
Online orders are shipped on Tuesdays only.
Our standard weekly order cutoff is:
-
Sunday at 12:00 PM (noon) for shipment that Tuesday
Orders placed after the Sunday cutoff will ship on the next available Tuesday.
The shipping time shown at checkout is the carrier's estimated transit time and begins after your order leaves Berkshire Mountain Bakery on Tuesday.
For example:
-
If UPS Ground — 1 business day is available for your address, an order shipped Tuesday would typically arrive Wednesday.
-
If a shipping method shows 2 business days, an order shipped Tuesday would typically arrive Thursday.
-
If a shipping method shows 2–3 business days, delivery would typically occur between Thursday and Friday following Tuesday shipment.
These examples are estimates only. Actual delivery timing can vary based on destination, weather, holidays, carrier operations, and other circumstances outside our control.
Minimum Order Requirement
Shipped online orders are subject to a minimum product order requirement.
The current minimum is:
-
$32 in products
-
plus applicable shipping charges and taxes
Shipping charges are calculated separately during checkout based on your order and delivery address.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on factors including:
-
products and quantities ordered
-
shipment weight
-
package requirements
-
delivery address
-
available UPS or FedEx services
Berkshire Mountain Bakery currently does not charge a separate handling fee.
We reserve the right to adjust shipping charges or introduce a temporary surcharge if carrier, packaging, or other shipping-related costs increase significantly.
Faster Shipping Options
Faster shipping methods may be displayed at checkout depending on your delivery address.
Selecting a faster shipping service changes the carrier transit time only. It does not change Berkshire Mountain Bakery's Tuesday shipping schedule.
For example, selecting a 2-day shipping option means the estimated two-day carrier transit period begins after your order ships on Tuesday.
If your order is time-sensitive or you are unsure which shipping option to select, please contact us before placing your order.
Large Orders
For purposes of this policy, a large order is generally considered an order containing five (5) or more items.
Large orders may require additional packaging or processing depending on the products ordered.
If we identify an issue that could affect the shipment of a large order, we may contact you before fulfillment.
Fresh and Frozen Product Notice
Our products are generally shipped fresh.
However, Berkshire Mountain Bakery may ship frozen product at our discretion when necessary to maintain product availability or quality.
We do not typically use:
-
insulated packaging
-
ice packs
-
dry ice
Because our products are perishable, customers should open their shipment promptly upon arrival.
Storage Upon Arrival
If you do not plan to enjoy your bread right away, we recommend freezing it upon delivery to help preserve freshness and quality.
Tracking
Tracking information is provided after your order has been prepared for shipment.
Once your shipping label has been created, you will receive tracking information for the UPS or FedEx service associated with your order.
Please keep in mind that receiving a tracking number does not necessarily mean the carrier has already received the package. Carrier transit begins once your shipment has been picked up and entered into the carrier's network.
Shipping Delays
Shipping delays are uncommon but may occur due to:
-
weather
-
holidays
-
carrier operations
-
transportation interruptions
-
circumstances outside Berkshire Mountain Bakery's control
If we become aware of an issue affecting your shipment, we may contact you when possible.
Carrier delays do not automatically qualify for a refund or replacement. We review shipping issues individually and may assist on a case-by-case basis.
